Some recent work in stellar and planetary sciences

Abstract: I will report some recent work in stellar and planetary sciences. They are stellar convection dynamo, a tidal dynamo in close binaries, Ohmic dissipation for tidal evolution, radius anomaly of hot Jupiters, and wave transmission in the stellar or planetary interior.

Biography: 
Xing Wei is a professor at BNU. He studied BS and MS at Tsinghua and Ph.D. at Cambridge. Before joining BNU he worked at ETH, Gottingen, Princeton, and SJTU.
