Luis Ho, Director of the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Peking University, was invited by the American Astronomical Society (AAS) for an interview with the Senior Lead Editor of the AAS Journals, Prof. Frank Timmes. Ho is the Deputy Editor of the Astrophysical Journal Letters.

In the interview, Ho discussed his research on many aspects of galaxies, from their central supermassive black holes to their large-scale environments, as well as his enthusiastic outlook for the scientific potential of the upcoming Chinese Space Station Telescope.  He reflected on his passion for the scientific process, the effort with which it must be maintained, and the critical role of the scientific journals, the peer-review system, and the editorial process.  He also offered some advice to authors and referees.
