Lijing Shao was Invited to the Advisory Panel of Classical and Quantum Gravity

Lijing Shao

Lijing Shao, Assistant Professor of the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Peking University, was invited to the Advisory Panel of Classical and Quantum Gravity. The invitation was made by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Gabriela González, who was the spokesperson of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration when the first gravitational-wave event was observed in 2015. Shao was awarded twice for year 2018 and year 2019 as an Outstanding Reviewer for this journal, and now he becomes a member in its Advisory Panel.

The appointment of Advisory Panel membership is for an initial term of two years until 31 December 2021. In his new role, Shao will be preferentially invited to perform the more complex refereeing tasks, e.g. making an initial assessment of the suitability of manuscripts, acting as adjudicator, and so on. These tasks will benefit to the quality of articles in the journal, and the influence of the journal as an international academic magazine.

The journal Classical and Quantum Gravity is an established journal for physicists, mathematicians, and cosmologists in the fields of gravitation and the theory of spacetime. The journal is now the acknowledged world leader in classical relativity and all areas of quantum gravity.
