The joint Postdoc Forum in Astronomy and Astrophysics, co-hosted by the Kavli Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at Peking University (KIAA) and the Department of Astronomy at Tsinghua University (DoA). It will be a two-day event (December 1 and 2, 2025) designed to spark new collaborations and foster awareness of ongoing research.
The forum will be held at KIAA on December 1st, and at DoA on December 2nd, offering participants a chance to engage across both campuses.
The program includes 20-minute research talks (plus 5 minutes for questions) given by postdocs*, poster sessions* open to postdocs and PhD students, and informal discussion sessions led also by postdocs to encourage open, interdisciplinary dialogue.
We welcome contributions across all topics, including observational astronomy, theoretical astrophysics, machine learning, etc.
Attendance limited to 40 participants. Early registration is encouraged to secure a talk or poster slot!
The registration deadline for talks or posters is November 20, and the deadline for general participation is November 25, or earlier if all 40 spots are filled.
There is no registration fee. Lunch and coffee breaks with snacks will be provided on both days.
* Please prepare your talk, slides and poster in English.
