Jianhui Lian

I'm a Chinese astronomer now working in Portsmouth with Daniel Thomas and Claudia Marraston. I obtained my PhD from University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei) in the autumn of 2016. In my PhD, I focused on the star formation history of galaxies, especially the quenching process that is responsible for the transfer of blue star forming galaxies to red quiescent galaxies. I have also done a few works on the mass-metallicity relation and structure of compact galaxies. In Portsmouth, I am studying the chemical evolution of galaxies and our Milky Way.
