Galaxy Evolution in Spatially Resolved Instruments

Abstract: Our understanding of galaxy evolution all the way to cosmic noon has advanced substantially over the past decades. From a series of scaling relations of galaxy main sequences and mass-metallicity relations, to spatially resolved interstellar medium kinematics and chemical abundance radial gradients, integral field spectroscopy (IFS) has played an important role. In this talk, I will present recent observational efforts to characterise star-forming galaxies at redshifts of approximately 1 to 3, highlighting IFS observations across a range of topics central to the study of galaxies at cosmic noon, including dark matter mass fraction and intergalactic medium Lyman alpha emitter properties.
