Hammurabi X: simulating Galactic synchrotron emission with random magnetic fields

Galactic emissions have successfully caught the attention of CMB scientists, as we're moving forward to questioning the origin of the Universe, the primordial gravitational wave. These emissions do not only bother the cosmologists but have also the researchers who study the interstellar medium. It is the right time to bring in numerically fast and convincing algorithms/methods to catch up with the high-resolution measurements which we cannot fully digest in the past. In this talk, I will present the latest version X of the hammurabi package, a HEALPix-based numerical toolkit designed for simulating the Galactic emissions. In addition to introducing the software's design and improvements, we have proposed two fast methods for generation Gaussian random magnetic fields. The new simulation results suggest that we have underestimated the importance of divergence-free property of the random magnetic field in previous studies for the Galactic synchrotron emission. The upgraded package offers us the opportunity to carry out detailed analyses of the Galactic components and providing useful insights to foreground removal tasks for CMB and 21cm.
