Alessandro Sonnenfeld

I'm a Marie Curie Fellow at Leiden Observatory, in The Netherlands. My main research focus is massive early-type galaxies, which I study with gravitational lensing.
I obtained my PhD at the University of California, Santa Barbara, under the supervision of Prof. Tommaso Treu. I was born and raised in Lucca, Italy, and did my studies at Università di Pisa. Before joining Leiden Observatory, I worked at UCLA and at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and the Mathematics of the Universe, in Kashiwa, Japan.
