Yiqing Liu (刘逸清)
I am a postdoc (Hintze Fellow) in the Sub-department of Astrophysics, Department of Physics at The University of Oxford, working with the people in the group of Galaxies and Black Holes.
I got my Ph.D from the Department of Astronomy at Peking University (PKU) / the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA), where I worked with Prof. Eric W. Peng and Prof. Luis C. Ho.
I am interested in galaxies. They are the basic units of the structure in the Universe, linking all kinds of objects and astrophysical processes. They are not randomly distributed and obey certain empirical relations, due to the role that physics plays. However, it is a mystery how the physics work in detail. I have been exploring it for years, welcome to enjoy in Research.
Everyone has questions. My research may answer your questions. The Universe in one's eyes may lead others into a fantastic new world. Therefore I am also interested in popular science and scientific education. Welcome to find more in Outreach.
