Xiangcheng Ma

University of California, Berkeley
24 Dec 2018 to 28 Dec 2018 I have worked on a broad range of topics in galaxy formation and evolution using state-of-the-art cosmological hydrodynamic simulations, including galactic chemical evolution, galaxies at the epoch of reionization, and supermassive black hole growth and feedback. Recently, I build a large suite of cosmological zoom-in simulations of galaxies in the first billion years of the Universe. I will combine the simulations and radiative transfer calculations to understand the ionizing photon budgets these galaxies contribute to cosmic reionization and predict observables for future HST, ALMA, and JWST programs.
