Infall halo formation history is found to be different from other halos. How does it matter for the satellite galaxies? In my on-going work, I used the cosmological simulations IllustrisTNG to study the effects of the pre-accretion infall halo formation history on satellites galaxies. We found the infall halo formation history matters for the stellar mass growth of satellite galaxies, and it will also affect the evolution of satellite galaxies even after they got accreted. Our results can help to improve the current galaxy-halo connection understanding and the satellite quenching process.
